Montana Governor Signs New Gun Law

Executive Summary – The USA state of Montana has signed into power a revolutionary gun law. I mean REVOLUTIONARY.

The State of Montana has defied the federal government and their gun laws. This will prompt a showdown between the federal government and the State of Montana. The federal government fears citizens owning guns. They try to curtail what types of guns they can own. The gun control laws all have one common goal – confiscation of privately owned firearms.

Montana has gone beyond drawing a line in the sand. They have challenged the Federal Government. The fed now either takes them on and risks them saying the federal agents have no right to violate their state gun laws and arrest the federal agents that try to enforce the federal firearms acts. This will be a world-class event to watch. Montana could go to voting for secession from the union, which is really throwing the gauntlet in Obamas face. If the federal government does nothing they lose face. Gotta love it.

Important Points – If guns and ammunition are manufactured inside the State of Montana for sale and use inside that state then the federal firearms laws have no applicability since the federal government only has the power to control commerce across state lines. Montana has the law on their side. Since when did the USA start following their own laws especially the constitution of the USA, the very document that empowers the USA.

Silencers made in Montana and sold in Montana would be fully legal and not registered. As a note silencers were first used before the 007 movies as a device to enable one to hunt without disturbing neighbors and scaring game. They were also useful as devices to control noise when practicing so as to not disturb the neighbors.

Silencers work best with a bolt-action rifle. There is a long barrel and the chamber is closed tight so as to direct all the gases though the silencer at the tip of the barrel. Semi-auto pistols and revolvers do not really muffle the sound very well except on the silver screen. The revolvers bleed gas out with the sound all over the place. The semi-auto pistols bleed the gases out when the slide recoils back.

Silencers are maybe nice for snipers picking off enemy soldiers even though they reduce velocity but not very practical for hit men shooting pistols in crowded places. Silencers were useful tools for gun enthusiasts and hunters.

There would be no firearm registration, serial numbers, criminal records check, waiting periods or paperwork required. So in a short period of time there would be millions and millions of unregistered untraceable guns in Montana. Way to go Montana.

Discussion – Let us see what Obama does. If he hits Montana hard they will probably vote to secede from the USA. The governor of Texas has already been refusing Federal money because he does not want to agree to the conditions that go with it and he has been saying secession is a right they have as sort of a threat. Things are no longer the same with the USA. Do not be deceived by Obama acting as if all is the same, it is not.

INTRODUCED BY J. BONIEK, BENNETT, BUTCHER, CURTISS, RANDALL, WARBURTON
AN ACT EXEMPTING FROM FEDERAL REGULATION UNDER THE COMMERCE CLAUSE OF THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES A FIREARM, A FIREARM ACCESSORY, OR AMMUNITION MANUFACTURED AND RETAINED IN MONTANA; AND PROVIDING AN APPLICABILITY DATE.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MONTANA:

Section 1. Short title. [Sections 1 through 6] may be cited as the "Montana Firearms Freedom Act".

Section 2. Legislative declarations of authority. The legislature declares that the authority for [sections 1 through 6] is the following:
(1) The 10th amendment to the United States constitution guarantees to the states and their people all powers not granted to the federal government elsewhere in the constitution and reserves to the state and people of Montana certain powers as they were understood at the time that Montana was admitted to statehood in 1889. The guaranty of those powers is a matter of contract between the state and people of Montana and the United States as of the time that the compact with the United States was agreed upon and adopted by Montana and the United States in 1889.
(2) The ninth amendment to the United States constitution guarantees to the people rights not granted in the constitution and reserves to the people of Montana certain rights, as they were understood at the time that Montana was admitted to statehood in 1889. The guaranty of those rights is a matter of contract between the state and people of Montana and the United States as of the time that the compact with the United States was agreed upon and adopted by Montana and the United States in 1889.
(3) The regulation of intrastate commerce is vested in the states under the 9th and 10th amendments to the United States constitution, particularly if not expressly preempted by federal law. Congress has not expressly preempted state regulation of intrastate commerce pertaining to the manufacture on an intrastate basis of firearms, firearms accessories, and ammunition.
(4) The second amendment to the United States constitution reserves to the people the right to keep and bear arms as that right was understood at the time that Montana was admitted to statehood in 1889, and the guaranty of the right is a matter of contract between the state and people of Montana and the United States as of the time that the compact with the United States was agreed upon and adopted by Montana and the United States in 1889.(5) Article II, section 12, of the Montana constitution clearly secures to Montana citizens, and prohibits government interference with, the right of individual Montana citizens to keep and bear arms. This constitutional protection is unchanged from the 1889 Montana constitution, which was approved by congress and the people of Montana, and the right exists, as it was understood at the time that the compact with the United States was agreed upon and adopted by Montana and the United States in 1889.

Section 3. Definitions. As used in [sections 1 through 6], the following definitions apply:
(1) "Borders of Montana" means the boundaries of Montana described in Article I, section 1, of the 1889 Montana constitution.
(2) "Firearms accessories" means items that are used in conjunction with or mounted upon a firearm but are not essential to the basic function of a firearm, including but not limited to telescopic or laser sights, magazines, flash or sound suppressors, folding or aftermarket stocks and grips, speedloaders, ammunition carriers, and lights for target illumination.
(3) "Generic and insignificant parts" includes but is not limited to springs, screws, nuts, and pins.
(4) "Manufactured" means that a firearm, a firearm accessory, or ammunition has been created from basic materials for functional usefulness, including but not limited to forging, casting, machining, or other processes for working materials.

Section 4. Prohibitions. A personal firearm, a firearm accessory, or ammunition that is manufactured commercially or privately in Montana and that remains within the borders of Montana is not subject to federal law or federal regulation, including registration, under the authority of congress to regulate interstate commerce. It is declared by the legislature that those items have not traveled in interstate commerce. This section applies to a firearm, a firearm accessory, or ammunition that is manufactured in Montana from basic materials and that can be manufactured without the inclusion of any significant parts imported from another state. Generic and insignificant parts that have other manufacturing or consumer product applications are not firearms, firearms accessories, or ammunition, and their importation into Montana and incorporation into a firearm, a firearm accessory, or ammunition manufactured in Montana does not subject the firearm, firearm accessory, or ammunition to federal regulation. It is declared by the legislature that basic materials, such as unmachined steel and unshaped wood, are not firearms, firearms accessories, or ammunition and are not subject to congressional authority to regulate firearms, firearms accessories, and ammunition under interstate commerce as if they were actually firearms, firearms accessories, or ammunition. The authority of congress to regulate interstate commerce in basic materials does not include authority to regulate firearms, firearms accessories, and ammunition made in Montana from those materials. Firearms accessories that are imported into Montana from another state and that are subject to federal regulation as being in interstate commerce do not subject a firearm to federal regulation under interstate commerce because they are attached to or used in conjunction with a firearm in Montana.

Section 5. Exceptions. [Section 4] does not apply to:
(1) A firearm that cannot be carried and used by one person;
(2) A firearm that has a bore diameter greater than 1 1/2 inches and that uses smokeless powder, not black powder, as a propellant;
(3) ammunition with a projectile that explodes using an explosion of chemical energy after the projectile leaves the firearm; or
(4) a firearm that discharges two or more projectiles with one activation of the trigger or other firing device.

Section 6. Marketing of firearms. A firearm manufactured or sold in Montana under [sections 1 through 6] must have the words "Made in Montana" clearly stamped on a central metallic part, such as the receiver or frame.

Section 7. Codification instruction. [Sections 1 through 6] are intended to be codified as an integral part of Title 30, and the provisions of Title 30 apply to [sections 1 through 6].

Section 8. Applicability. [This act] applies to firearms, firearms accessories, and ammunition that are manufactured, as defined in [section 3], and retained in Montana after October 1, 2009.

Dear Friends,

Today we lost a true American and Patriot. We write this to you with heavy hearts. Albert V. Burns was tragically killed in an accident this morning shortly after his last e-mail. In one instant he was taken from us to Heaven. He went out this morning to retrieve the mail and was hit by a car that lost control with the snow and ice on the road. The wonderful police officers and paramedics worked hard to revive Al, but were unable to. Please know that he did not suffer.

There are so many words that were never expressed, so many hugs and kisses that were never exchanged. We love Al dearly and he will be missed greatly. Whenever we needed any help or advice we always knew we could ask Al. He was educated as an engineer, but his knowledge was not limited to that field. He could fix anything and tell you anything from his vast knowledge base. He was always engaged in a good work or cause. Al could be depended upon by all that knew him. His life was dedicated to his wonderful wife and family and to this great Country.

One reason Al seemed so young to us all was because he stayed active and stayed abreast of all the newest technology and information available. He was always learning something new and sharing it with others. Al was active in the community and in politics. He proudly proclaimed, “This is MY country, land that I love” in every word and deed. With people like Al the future seemed brighter. We must now take up where he left off and declare that we will not shun the fight. We must be the Americans he dreamed we all could be. United we can do so much and support this great Nation in the tumultuous years to come.

Now, words seem so useless. We now put our trust where Al would, in God. In 1st Thessalonians 4:13-18 is says, “But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with a voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.”

It is hoped that the succinctness of this message is accepted in the tone of importance in which it is intended. The window of opportunity to accomplish the necessary monumental consciousness transition is small compared to the obstacle within the human belief systems that must be literally dissolved so that the whole may be transformed.

All the beliefs and expectations about who you are, where you are, and what you’re supposed to be doing, and how, and where, and when, let them go! You have nothing to fear in releasing these things. All that has been sanctified by God will continue to exist. Only that which has sought to cheat you of your destiny will perish. Let it all go and see what the Lord has in store.

Any hesitation you have is indicative in your continued trust in fear, and reason. These are the false Gods of this age. And they will continue to enslave you until your trust is restored in love and life. Trust God implicitly, and the truth of his divine design will be revealed in every situation. Specific information for each and every situation is being supplied to you constantly by the source of infinite wisdom. Why not trust it?

Media Blackout:161 Federal Tax Charges, 0 ConvictionsIRS Suffers Staggering Defeat
Tax Questions Raised RegardingGold and Silver Coins Used to Pay Wages

Around noon on Monday, September 17th, a Las Vegas federal jury returned its verdict refusing to convict nine defendants of any of the 161 federal tax crimes they had been charged with. The charges included income tax evasion, willful failure to file and conspiracy to evade taxes.The four-month trial centered around the family businesses of Robert Kahre who paid numerous workers for their labor with circulating gold and silver U.S. coins, and did not report the wages. The payments took place over several years, allegedly totaling at least $114 million dollars. On September 20, 2007, three days after the federal trial's dramatic conclusion, the Las Vegas Review Journal, reportedly under a degree of public pressure, ran its first (and last) story about the outcome of the trial. To this day, with exception of the single article by the Review Journal, no major media entity has published a news story regarding the outcome of this important federal criminal tax case.

The censorship of this important news story is, unfortunately, not unexpected given the continuing, worldwide onslaught against the U.S. "dollar" -- specifically the Federal Reserve variety, and the ever growing numbers of Federal Reserve Notes required to trade for an actual ounce of silver, gold, oil, or for that matter, anything. In short, this failed prosecution has coalesced and exposed truths our Government desperately needs to hide from the People: the truth about our money, the truth about our (privately-owned) central bank, and the truth about the fraudulent nature of the operation and enforcement of the federal income tax system. According to defense attorney Joel Hansen, who represented co-defendant Alex Loglia, the primary "willfulness" defense was that the defendants believed they had no legal obligation to withhold, pay income taxes or report anything to the government because, in part, the nominal (i.e., face value) of the gold and silver coins is so small as to fall beneath the reporting thresholds set by the Internal Revenue Code.The Defendants also argued that regardless of the valuation of the coins for internal revenue purposes, there is no law that requires average American workers to file or pay direct, un-apportioned taxes on the fruits of their labor.The Government argued that the payments in solid gold and silver U.S. coins must be considered at their bullion (i.e., intrinsic full-market) value when considering the worth of the wages for purposes of the internal revenue code.Attorney Hansen cited two Supreme Court cases bolstering Defendant's monetary argument at the heart of the defendants "willfulness" defense. The essence of the argument is that under the Constitution Congress is obligated by law to mint and circulate such coins as demand requires, and must establish the value of coins as they are used as legal tender, but the coins' market value, arising as valuable personal "property," is a distinct, separate attribute of such coins, and is of no legal consequence if the coins are used as legal tender. In other words, if a worker is paid with such coins, his taxable "income" (if any) can only be the face value indicated upon the coin money paid -- i.e., $1.00 for a circulating silver dollar or $50 for a circulating gold U.S. coin. Not surprisingly, the IRS has never issued any public guidance regarding this significant issue.

The first case, Ling Su Fan v. U.S., 218 US 302 (1910) establishes the legal distinction of a coin bearing the "impress" of the sovereign:

"These limitations are due to the fact that public law gives to such coinage a value which does not attach as a mere consequence of intrinsic value. Their quality as a legal tender is an attribute of law aside from their bullion value. They bear, therefore, the impress of sovereign power which fixes value and authorizes their use in exchange."

The second case, Thompson v. Butler , 95 US 694 (1877), establishes that the law makes no legal distinction between the values of coin and paper money used as legal tender:

"A coin dollar is worth no more for the purposes of tender in payment of an ordinary debt than a note dollar. The law has not made the note a standard of value any more than coin. It is true that in the market, as an article of merchandise, one is of greater value than the other; but as money, that is to say, as a medium of exchange, the law knows no difference between them."

Defense attorney Hansen confirmed that members of the jury were able to actually hold and inspect the gold and silver U.S. coins paid to the workers.After almost four months of testimony and three and a half days of deliberation, the jury did not convict any of the defendants of any of the 161 crimes alleged. Although some defendants were acquitted of multiple counts, and several were acquitted completely, others may have to stand for a retrial if the Government brings charges a second time.The Review Journal reported the jury foreman claimed DOJ prosecutors admitted they were "shocked" by the outcome.

In March 2007, the primary defendant, Bob Kahre, filed a federal civil rights lawsuit against the prosecutor and IRS agents who had conducted what he alleges to be an unlawful search and seizure raid. In 2005, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals refused to overturn a previous District Court ruling holding that the federal prosecutor is not entitled to absolute immunity for the unlawful raid. I took an oath many times, an oath of office as a Marine lieutenant, as an official in the Defense Department, as an official in the State Department as a Foreign Service officer. A number of times I took an oath of office which is the same oath office taken by every member of Congress and every official in the United States and every officer in the United States armed services.

And that oath is not to a Commander in Chief, which is not mentioned. It is not to a fuehrer. It is not even to superior officers. The oath is precisely to protect and uphold the Constitution of the United States.

Now that is an oath I violated every day for years in the Defense Department without realizing it when I kept my mouth shut when I knew the public was being lied into a war as they were lied into Iraq, as they are being lied into war in Iran.

Paper Money and Tyranny

All great republics throughout history cherished sound money. This meant that the monetary unit was a commodity of honest weight and purity. When money was sound, civilizations were found to be more prosperous and freedom thrived. The less free a society becomes, the greater the likelihood its money is being debased and the economic well-being of its citizens diminished.

Alan Greenspan, years before he became Federal Reserve Board Chairman in charge of flagrantly debasing the U.S. dollar, wrote about this connection between sound money, prosperity, and freedom. In his article “Gold and Economic Freedom” (The Objectivist, July 1966), Greenspan starts by saying: “An almost hysterical antagonism toward the gold standard is an issue that unites statists of all persuasions. They seem to sense…that gold and economic freedom are inseparable.” Further he states that: “Under the gold standard, a free banking system stands as the protector of an economy’s stability and balanced growth.”

Astoundingly, Mr. Greenspan’s analysis of the 1929 market crash, and how the Fed precipitated the crisis, directly parallels current conditions we are experiencing under his management of the Fed. Greenspan explains: “The excess credit which the Fed pumped into the economy spilled over into the stock market- triggering a fantastic speculative boom.” And, “…By 1929 the speculative imbalances had become overwhelming and unmanageable by the Fed.” Greenspan concluded his article by stating: “In the absence of the gold standard, there is no way to protect savings from confiscation through inflation.”

He explains that the “shabby secret” of the proponents of big government and paper money is that deficit spending is simply nothing more than a “scheme for the hidden confiscation of wealth.” Yet here we are today with a purely fiat monetary system, managed almost exclusively by Alan Greenspan, who once so correctly denounced the Fed’s role in the Depression while recognizing the need for sound money.

The Founders of this country, and a large majority of the American people up until the 1930s, disdained paper money, respected commodity money, and disapproved of a central bank’s monopoly control of money creation and interest rates. Ironically, it was the abuse of the gold standard, the Fed’s credit-creating habits of the 1920s, and its subsequent mischief in the 1930s, that not only gave us the Great Depression, but also prolonged it. Yet sound money was blamed for all the suffering. That’s why people hardly objected when Roosevelt and his statist friends confiscated gold and radically debased the currency, ushering in the age of worldwide fiat currencies with which the international economy struggles today.

If honest money and freedom are inseparable, as Mr. Greenspan argued, and paper money leads to tyranny, one must wonder why it’s so popular with economists, the business community, bankers, and our government officials. The simplest explanation is that it’s a human trait to always seek the comforts of wealth with the least amount of effort. This desire is quite positive when it inspires hard work and innovation in a capitalist society. Productivity is improved and the standard of living goes up for everyone. This process has permitted the poorest in today’s capitalist countries to enjoy luxuries never available to the royalty of old.

But this human trait of seeking wealth and comfort with the least amount of effort is often abused. It leads some to believe that by certain monetary manipulations, wealth can be made more available to everyone. Those who believe in fiat money often believe wealth can be increased without a commensurate amount of hard work and innovation. They also come to believe that savings and market control of interest rates are not only unnecessary, but actually hinder a productive growing economy.

Concern for liberty is replaced by the illusion that material benefits can be more easily obtained with fiat money than through hard work and ingenuity. The perceived benefits soon become of greater concern for society than the preservation of liberty. This does not mean proponents of fiat money embark on a crusade to promote tyranny, though that is what it leads to, but rather they hope they have found the philosopher’s stone and a modern alternative to the challenge of turning lead into gold.

Our Founders thoroughly understood this issue, and warned us against the temptation to seek wealth and fortune without the work and savings that real prosperity requires. James Madison warned of “The pestilent effects of paper money,” as the Founders had vivid memories of the destructiveness of the Continental dollar. George Mason of Virginia said that he had a “Mortal hatred to paper money.” Constitutional Convention delegate Oliver Ellsworth from Connecticut thought the convention “A favorable moment to shut and bar the door against paper money.”

This view of the evils of paper money was shared by almost all the delegates to the convention, and was the reason the Constitution limited congressional authority to deal with the issue and mandated that only gold and silver could be legal tender. Paper money was prohibited and no central bank was authorized. Over and above the economic reasons for honest money, however, Madison argued the moral case for such. Paper money, he explained, destroyed “The necessary confidence between man and man, on necessary confidence in public councils, on the industry and morals of people and on the character of republican government.”

The Founders were well aware of the biblical admonitions against dishonest weights and measures, debased silver, and watered-down wine. The issue of sound money throughout history has been as much a moral issue as an economic or political issue.

Even with this history and great concern expressed by the Founders, the barriers to paper money have been torn asunder. The Constitution has not been changed, but is no longer applied to the issue of money. It was once explained to me, during the debate over going to war in Iraq, that a declaration of war was not needed because to ask for such a declaration was “frivolous” and that the portion of the Constitution dealing with congressional war power was “anachronistic.” So too, it seems that the power over money given to Congress alone and limited to coinage and honest weights, is now also “anachronistic.”

If indeed our generation can make the case for paper money, issued by an unauthorized central bank, it behooves us to at least have enough respect for the Constitution to amend it in a proper fashion. Ignoring the Constitution in order to perform a pernicious act is detrimental in two ways. First, debasing the currency as a deliberate policy is economically destructive beyond measure. Second, doing it without consideration for the rule of law undermines the entire fabric of our Constitutional republic.

Though the need for sound money is currently not a pressing issue for Congress, it’s something that cannot be ignored because serious economic problems resulting from our paper money system are being forced upon us. As a matter of fact, we deal with the consequences on a daily basis, yet fail to see the connection between our economic problems and the mischief orchestrated by the Federal Reserve.

All the great religions teach honesty in money, and the economic shortcomings of paper money were well known when the Constitution was written, so we must try to understand why an entire generation of Americans have come to accept paper money without hesitation, without question. Most Americans are oblivious to the entire issue of the nature and importance of money. Many in authority, however, have either been misled by false notions or see that the power to create money is indeed a power they enjoy, as they promote their agenda of welfarism at home and empire abroad.

Money is a moral, economic, and political issue. Since the monetary unit measures every economic transaction, from wages to prices, taxes, and interest rates, it is vitally important that its value is honestly established in the marketplace without bankers, government, politicians, or the Federal Reserve manipulating its value to serve special interests.

Money As a Moral Issue
The moral issue regarding money should be the easiest to understand, but almost no one in Washington thinks of money in these terms. Although there is a growing and deserved distrust in government per se, trust in money and the Federal Reserve’s ability to manage it remains strong. No one would welcome a counterfeiter to town, yet this same authority is blindly given to our central bank without any serious oversight by the Congress.

When the government can replicate the monetary unit at will without regard to cost, whether it’s paper currency or a computer entry, it’s morally identical to the counterfeiter who illegally prints currency. Both ways, it’s fraud.

A fiat monetary system allows power and influence to fall into the hands of those who control the creation of new money, and to those who get to use the money or credit early in its circulation. The insidious and eventual cost falls on unidentified victims who are usually oblivious to the cause of their plight. This system of legalized plunder (though not constitutional) allows one group to benefit at the expense of another. An actual transfer of wealth goes from the poor and the middle class to those in privileged financial positions.

In many societies the middle class has actually been wiped out by monetary inflation, which always accompanies fiat money. The high cost of living and loss of jobs hits one segment of society, while in the early stages of inflation, the business class actually benefits from the easy credit. An astute stock investor or home builder can make millions in the boom phase of the business cycle, while the poor and those dependent on fixed incomes can’t keep up with the rising cost of living.

Fiat money is also immoral because it allows government to finance special interest legislation that otherwise would have to be paid for by direct taxation or by productive enterprise. This transfer of wealth occurs without directly taking the money out of someone’s pocket. Every dollar created dilutes the value of existing dollars in circulation. Those individuals who worked hard, paid their taxes, and saved some money for a rainy day are hit the hardest, with their dollars being depreciated in value while earning interest that is kept artificially low by the Federal Reserve easy-credit policy. The easy credit helps investors and consumers who have no qualms about going into debt and even declaring bankruptcy.

If one sees the welfare state and foreign militarism as improper and immoral, one understands how the license to print money permits these policies to go forward far more easily than if they had to be paid for immediately by direct taxation.

Printing money, which is literally inflation, is nothing more than a sinister and evil form of hidden taxation. It’s unfair and deceptive, and accordingly strongly opposed by the authors of the Constitution. That is why there is no authority for Congress, the Federal Reserve, or the executive branch to operate the current system of money we have today.

Money As a Political Issue
Although the money issue today is of little political interest to the parties and politicians, it should not be ignored. Policy makers must contend with the consequences of the business cycle, which result from the fiat monetary system under which we operate. They may not understand the connection now, but eventually they must.

In the past, money and gold have been dominant issues in several major political campaigns. We find that when the people have had a voice in the matter, they inevitably chose gold over paper. To the common man, it just makes sense. As a matter of fact, a large number of Americans, perhaps a majority, still believe our dollar is backed by huge hoards of gold in Fort Knox.

The monetary issue, along with the desire to have free trade among the states, prompted those at the Constitutional Convention to seek solutions to problems that plagued the post-revolutionary war economy. This post-war recession was greatly aggravated by the collapse of the unsound fiat Continental dollar. The people, through their representatives, spoke loudly and clearly for gold and silver over paper.

Andrew Jackson, a strong proponent of gold and opponent of central banking (the Second Bank of the United States,) was a hero to the working class and was twice elected president. This issue was fully debated in his presidential campaigns. The people voted for gold over paper.

In the 1870s, the people once again spoke out clearly against the greenback inflation of Lincoln. Notoriously, governments go to paper money while rejecting gold to promote unpopular and unaffordable wars. The return to gold in 1879 went smoothly and was welcomed by the people, putting behind them the disastrous Civil War inflationary period.

Grover Cleveland, elected twice to the presidency, was also a strong advocate of the gold standard.

Again, in the presidential race of 1896, William McKinley argued the case for gold. In spite of the great orations by William Jennings Bryant, who supported monetary inflation and made a mocking “Cross of Gold” speech, the people rallied behind McKinley’s bland but correct arguments for sound money.

The 20th Century was much less sympathetic to gold. Since 1913 central banking has been accepted in the United States without much debate, despite the many economic and political horrors caused or worsened by the Federal Reserve since its establishment. The ups and downs of the economy have all come as a consequence of Fed policies, from the Great Depression to the horrendous stagflation of the ‘70s, as well as the current ongoing economic crisis.

A central bank and fiat money enable government to maintain an easy war policy that under strict monetary rules would not be achievable. In other words, countries with sound monetary policies would rarely go to war because they could not afford to, especially if they were not attacked. The people could not be taxed enough to support wars without destroying the economy. But by printing money, the cost can be delayed and hidden, sometimes for years if not decades. To be truly opposed to preemptive and unnecessary wars one must advocate sound money to prevent the promoters of war from financing their imperialism.

Look at how the military budget is exploding, deficits are exploding, and tax revenues are going down. No problem; the Fed is there and will print whatever is needed to meet our military commitments, whether it’s wise to do so or not.

The money issue should indeed be a gigantic political issue. Fiat money hurts the economy, finances wars, and allows for excessive welfarism. When these connections are realized and understood, it will once again become a major political issue, since paper money never lasts. Ultimately politicians will not have a choice of whether to address or take a position on the money issue. The people and circumstances will demand it.

We do hear some talk about monetary policy and criticism directed toward the Federal Reserve, but it falls far short of what I’m talking about. Big-spending welfarists constantly complain about Fed policy, usually demanding lower interest rates even when rates are at historic lows. Big-government conservatives promoting grand worldwide military operations, while arguing that “deficits don’t matter” as long as marginal tax rates are lowered, also constantly criticize the Fed for high interest rates and lack of liquidity. Coming from both the left and the right, these demands would not occur if money could not be created out of thin air at will. Both sides are asking for the same thing from the Fed for different reasons. They want the printing presses to run faster and create more credit, so that the economy will be healed like magic- or so they believe.

This is not the kind of interest in the Fed that we need. I’m anticipating that we should and one day will be forced to deal with the definition of the dollar and what money should consist of. The current superficial discussion about money merely shows a desire to tinker with the current system in hopes of improving the deteriorating economy. There will be a point, though, when the tinkering will no longer be of any benefit and even the best advice will be of no value. We have just gone through two-and-a-half years of tinkering with 13 rate cuts, and recovery has not yet been achieved. It’s just possible that we’re much closer than anyone realizes to that day when it will become absolutely necessary to deal with the monetary issue- both philosophically and strategically- and forget about the band-aid approach to the current system.

Money as an Economic Issue
For a time, the economic consequences of paper money may seem benign and even helpful, but are always disruptive to economic growth and prosperity.

Economic planners of the Keynesian-socialist type have always relished control over money creation in their efforts to regulate and plan the economy. They have no qualms with using this power to pursue their egalitarian dreams of wealth redistribution. That force and fraud are used to make the economic system supposedly fairer is of little concern to them.

There are also many conservatives who do not endorse central economic planning as those on the left do, but nevertheless concede this authority to the Federal Reserve to manipulate the economy through monetary policy. Only a small group of constitutionalists, libertarians, and Austrian free-market economists reject the notion that central planning, through interest-rate and money-supply manipulation, is a productive endeavor.

Many sincere politicians, bureaucrats, and bankers endorse the current system, not out of malice or greed, but because it’s the only system they have know. The principles of sound money and free market banking are not taught in our universities. The overwhelming consensus in Washington, as well as around the world, is that commodity money without a central bank is no longer practical or necessary. Be assured, though, that certain individuals who greatly benefit from a paper money system know exactly why the restraints that a commodities standard would have are unacceptable.

Though the economic consequences of paper money in the early stage affect lower-income and middle-class citizens, history shows that when the destruction of monetary value becomes rampant, nearly everyone suffers and the economic and political structure becomes unstable. There’s good reason for all of us to be concerned about our monetary system and the future of the dollar.

Nations that live beyond their means must always pay for their extravagance. It’s easy to understand why future generations inherit a burden when the national debt piles up. This requires others to pay the interest and debts when they come due. The victims are never the recipients of the borrowed funds. But this is not exactly what happens when a country pays off its debt. The debt, in nominal terms, always goes up, and since it is still accepted by mainstream economists that just borrowing endlessly is not the road to permanent prosperity, real debt must be reduced. Depreciating the value of the dollar does that. If the dollar loses 10% of its value, the national debt of $6.5 trillion is reduced in real terms by $650 billion dollars. That’s a pretty neat trick and quite helpful- to the government.

That’s why the Fed screams about a coming deflation, so it can continue the devaluation of the dollar unabated. The politicians don’t mind, the bankers welcome the business activity, and the recipients of the funds passed out by Congress never complain. The greater the debt, the greater the need to inflate the currency, since debt cannot be the source of long-term wealth. Individuals and corporations who borrow too much eventually must cut back and pay off debt and start anew, but governments rarely do.

But where’s the hitch? This process, which seems to be a creative way of paying off debt, eventually undermines the capitalist structure of the economy, thus making it difficult to produce wealth, and that’s when the whole process comes to an end. This system causes many economic problems, but most of them stem from the Fed’s interference with the market rate of interest that it achieves through credit creation and printing money.

Nearly 100 years ago, Austrian economist Ludwig von Mises explained and predicted the failure of socialism. Without a pricing mechanism, the delicate balance between consumers and producers would be destroyed. Freely fluctuating prices provide vital information to the entrepreneur who is making key decisions on production. Without this information, major mistakes are made. A central planning bureaucrat cannot be a substitute for the law of supply and demand.

Though generally accepted by most modern economists and politicians, there is little hesitancy in accepting the omnipotent wisdom of the Federal Reserve to know the “price” of money- the interest rate- and its proper supply. For decades, and especially during the 1990s- when Chairman Greenspan was held in such high esteem, and no one dared question his judgment or the wisdom of the system- this process was allowed to run unimpeded by political or market restraints. Just as we must eventually pay for our perpetual deficits, continuous manipulation of interest and credit will also extract a payment.

Artificially low interest rates deceive investors into believing that rates are low because savings are high and represent funds not spent on consumption. When the Fed creates bank deposits out of thin air making loans available at below-market rates, mal-investment and overcapacity results, setting the stage for the next recession or depression. The easy credit policy is welcomed by many: stock-market investors, home builders, home buyers, congressional spendthrifts, bankers, and many other consumers who enjoy borrowing at low rates and not worrying about repayment. However, perpetual good times cannot come from a printing press or easy credit created by a Federal Reserve computer. The piper will demand payment, and the downturn in the business cycle will see to it. The downturn is locked into place by the artificial boom that everyone enjoys, despite the dreams that we have ushered in a “new economic era.” Let there be no doubt: the business cycle, the stagflation, the recessions, the depressions, and the inflations are not a result of capitalism and sound money, but rather are a direct result of paper money and a central bank that is incapable of managing it.

Our current monetary system makes it tempting for all parties, individuals, corporations, and government to go into debt. It encourages consumption over investment and production. Incentives to save are diminished by the Fed’s making new credit available to everyone and keeping interest rates on saving so low that few find it advisable to save for a rainy day. This is made worse by taxing interest earned on savings. It plays havoc with those who do save and want to live off their interest. The artificial rates may be 4, 5, or even 6% below the market rate, and the savers- many who are elderly and on fixed incomes- suffer unfairly at the hands of Alan Greenspan, who believes that resorting to money creation will solve our problems and give us perpetual prosperity.

Lowering interest rates at times, especially early in the stages of monetary debasement, will produce the desired effects and stimulate another boom-bust cycle. But eventually the distortions and imbalances between consumption and production, and the excessive debt, prevent the monetary stimulus from doing very much to boost the economy. Just look at what’s been happening in Japan for the last 12 years. When conditions get bad enough the only recourse will be to have major monetary reform to restore confidence in the system.

The two conditions that result from fiat money that are more likely to concern the people are inflation of prices and unemployment. Unfortunately, few realize these problems are directly related to our monetary system. Instead of demanding reforms, the chorus from both the right and left is for the Fed to do more of the same- only faster. If our problem stems from easy credit and interest-rate manipulation by the Fed, demanding more will not do much to help. Sadly, it will only make our problems worse.

Ironically, the more successful the money managers are at restoring growth or prolonging the boom with their monetary machinations, the greater are the distortions and imbalances in the economy. This means that when corrections are eventually forced upon us, they are much more painful and more people suffer with the correction lasting longer.

Today’s Conditions
Today’s economic conditions reflect a fiat monetary system held together by many tricks and luck over the past 30 years. The world has been awash in paper money since removal of the last vestige of the gold standard by Richard Nixon when he buried the Bretton Woods agreement- the gold exchange standard- on August 15, 1971. Since then we’ve been on a worldwide paper dollar standard. Quite possibly we are seeing the beginning of the end of that system. If so, tough times are ahead for the United States and the world economy.

A paper monetary standard means there are no restraints on the printing press or on federal deficits. In 1971, M3 was $776 billion; today it stands at $8.9 trillion, an 1100% increase. Our national debt in 1971 was $408 billion; today it stands at $6.8 trillion, a 1600% increase. Since that time, our dollar has lost almost 80% of its purchasing power. Common sense tells us that this process is not sustainable and something has to give. So far, no one in Washington seems interested.

Although dollar creation is ultimately the key to its value, many other factors play a part in its perceived value, such as: the strength of our economy, our political stability, our military power, the benefit of the dollar being the key reserve currency of the world, and the relative weakness of other nation’s economies and their currencies. For these reasons, the dollar has enjoyed a special place in the world economy. Increases in productivity have also helped to bestow undeserved trust in our economy with consumer prices, to some degree, being held in check and fooling the people, at the urging of the Fed, that “inflation” is not a problem. Trust is an important factor in how the dollar is perceived. Sound money encourages trust, but trust can come from these other sources as well. But when this trust is lost, which always occurs with paper money, the delayed adjustments can hit with a vengeance.

Following the breakdown of the Bretton Woods agreement, the world essentially accepted the dollar as a replacement for gold, to be held in reserve upon which even more monetary expansion could occur. It was a great arrangement that up until now seemed to make everyone happy.

We own the printing press and create as many dollars as we please. These dollars are used to buy federal debt. This allows our debt to be monetized and the spendthrift Congress, of course, finds this a delightful convenience and never complains. As the dollars circulate through our fractional reserve banking system, they expand many times over. With our excess dollars at home, our trading partners are only too happy to accept these dollars in order to sell us their products. Because our dollar is relatively strong compared to other currencies, we can buy foreign products at a discounted price. In other words, we get to create the world’s reserve currency at no cost, spend it overseas, and receive manufactured goods in return. Our excess dollars go abroad and other countries-especially Japan and China- are only too happy to loan them right back to us by buying our government and GSE debt. Up until now both sides have been happy with this arrangement.

But all good things must come to an end and this arrangement is ending. The process put us into a position of being a huge debtor nation, with our current account deficit of more than $600 billion per year now exceeding 5% of our GDP. We now owe foreigners more than any other nation ever owed in all of history, over $3 trillion.

A debt of this sort always ends by the currency of the debtor nation decreasing in value. And that’s what has started to happen with the dollar, although it still has a long way to go. Our free lunch cannot last. Printing money, buying foreign products, and selling foreign holders of dollars our debt ends when the foreign holders of this debt become concerned with the dollar’s future value.

Once this process starts, interest rates will rise. And in recent weeks, despite the frenetic effort of the Fed to keep interest rates low, they are actually rising instead. The official explanation is that this is due to an economic rebound with an increase in demand for loans. Yet a decrease in demand for our debt and reluctance to hold our dollars is a more likely cause. Only time will tell whether the economy rebounds to any significant degree, but one must be aware that rising interest rates and serious price inflation can also reflect a weak dollar and a weak economy. The stagflation of the 1970s baffled many conventional economists, but not the Austrian economists. Many other countries have in the past suffered from the extremes of inflation in an inflationary depression, and we are not immune from that happening here. Our monetary and fiscal policies are actually conducive to such a scenario.

In the short run, the current system gives us a free ride, our paper buys cheap goods from overseas, and foreigners risk all by financing our extravagance. But in the long run, we will surely pay for living beyond our means. Debt will be paid for one way or another. An inflated currency always comes back to haunt those who enjoyed the “benefits” of inflation. Although this process is extremely dangerous, many economists and politicians do not see it as a currency problem and are only too willing to find a villain to attack. Surprisingly the villain is often the foreigner who foolishly takes our paper for useful goods and accommodates us by loaning the proceeds back to us.

It’s true that the system encourages exportation of jobs as we buy more and more foreign goods. But nobody understands the Fed role in this, so the cries go out to punish the competition with tariffs. Protectionism is a predictable consequence of paper- money inflation, just as is the impoverishment of an entire middle class. It should surprise no one that even in the boom phase of the 1990s, there were still many people who became poorer. Yet all we hear are calls for more government mischief to correct the problems with tariffs, increased welfare for the poor, increased unemployment benefits, deficit spending, and special interest tax reduction, none of which can solve the problems ingrained in a system that operates with paper money and a central bank.

If inflation were equitable and treated all classes the same, it would be less socially divisive. But while some see their incomes going up above the rate of inflation (movie stars, CEOs, stock brokers, speculators, professional athletes,) others see their incomes stagnate like lower-middle-income workers, retired people, and farmers. Likewise, the rise in the cost of living hurts the poor and middle class more than the wealthy. Because inflation treats certain groups unfairly, anger and envy are directed toward those who have benefited.

The long-term philosophic problem with this is that the central bank and the fiat monetary system are not blamed; instead free market capitalism is. This is what happened in the 1930s. The Keynesians, who grew to dominate economic thinking at the time, erroneously blamed the gold standard, balanced budgets, and capitalism instead of tax increases, tariffs, and Fed policy. This country cannot afford another attack on economic liberty similar to what followed the 1929 crash that ushered in the economic interventionism and inflationism which we have been saddled with ever since. These policies have brought us to the brink of another colossal economic downturn and we need to be prepared.

Big business and banking deserve our harsh criticism, but not because they are big or because they make a lot of money. Our criticism should come because of the special benefits they receive from a monetary system designed to assist the business class at the expense of the working class. Labor leader Samuel Gompers understood this and feared paper money and a central bank while arguing the case for gold. Since the monetary system is used to finance deficits that come from war expenditures, the military industrial complex is a strong supporter of the current monetary system.

Liberals foolishly believe that they can control the process and curtail the benefits going to corporations and banks by increasing the spending for welfare for the poor. But this never happens. Powerful financial special interests control the government spending process and throw only crumbs to the poor. The fallacy with this approach is that the advocates fail to see the harm done to the poor, with cost of living increases and job losses that are a natural consequence of monetary debasement. Therefore, even more liberal control over the spending process can never compensate for the great harm done to the economy and the poor by the Federal Reserve’s effort to manage an unmanageable fiat monetary system.

Economic intervention, financed by inflation, is high-stakes government. It provides the incentive for the big money to “invest” in gaining government control. The big money comes from those who have it- corporations and banking interests. That’s why literally billions of dollars are spent on elections and lobbying. The only way to restore equity is to change the primary function of government from economic planning and militarism to protecting liberty. Without money, the poor and middle class are disenfranchised since access for the most part requires money. Obviously, this is not a partisan issue since both major parties are controlled by wealthy special interests. Only the rhetoric is different.

Our current economic problems are directly related to the monetary excesses of three decades and the more recent efforts by the Federal Reserve to thwart the correction that the market is forcing upon us. Since 1998, there has been a sustained attack on corporate profits. Before that, profits and earnings were inflated and fictitious, with WorldCom and Enron being prime examples. In spite of the 13 rate cuts since 2001, economic growth has not been restored.

Paper money encourages speculation, excessive debt, and misdirected investments. The market, however, always moves in the direction of eliminating bad investments, liquidating debt, and reducing speculative excesses. What we have seen, especially since the stock market peak of early 2000, is a knock-down, drag-out battle between the Fed’s effort to avoid a recession, limit the recession, and stimulate growth with its only tool, money creation, while the market demands the elimination of bad investments and excess debt. The Fed was also motivated to save the stock market from collapsing, which in some ways they have been able to do.

The market, in contrast, will insist on liquidation of unsustainable debt, removal of investment mistakes made over several decades, and a dramatic revaluation of the stock market. In this go-around, the Fed has pulled out all the stops and is more determined than ever, yet the market is saying that new and healthy growth cannot occur until a major cleansing of the system occurs. Does anyone think that tariffs and interest rates of 1% will encourage the rebuilding of our steel and textile industries anytime soon? Obviously, something more is needed.

The world central bankers are concerned with the lack of response to low interest rates and they have joined in a concerted effort to rescue the world economy through a policy of protecting the dollar’s role in the world economy, denying that inflation exists, and justifying unlimited expansion of the dollar money supply. To maintain confidence in the dollar, gold prices must be held in check. In the 1960s our government didn’t want a vote of no confidence in the dollar, and for a couple of decades, the price of gold was artificially held at $35 per ounce. That, of course, did not last.

In recent years, there has been a coordinated effort by the world central bankers to keep the gold price in check by dumping part of their large horde of gold into the market. This has worked to a degree, but just as it could not be sustained in the 1960s, until Nixon declared the Bretton Woods agreement dead in 1971, this effort will fail as well.

The market price of gold is important because it reflects the ultimate confidence in the dollar. An artificially low price for gold contributes to false confidence and when this is lost, more chaos ensues as the market adjusts for the delay.

Monetary policy today is designed to demonetize gold and guarantee for the first time that paper can serve as an adequate substitute in the hands of wise central bankers. Trust, then, has to be transferred from gold to the politicians and bureaucrats who are in charge of our monetary system. This fails to recognize the obvious reason that market participants throughout history have always preferred to deal with real assets, real money, rather than government paper. This contest between paper and honest money is of much greater significance than many realize. We should know the outcome of this struggle within the next decade.

Alan Greenspan, although once a strong advocate for the gold standard, now believes he knows what the outcome of this battle will be. Is it just wishful thinking on his part? In an answer to a question I asked before the Financial Services Committee in February 2003, Chairman Greenspan made an effort to convince me that paper money now works as well as gold: “I have been quite surprised, and I must say pleased, by the fact that central banks have been able to effectively simulate many of the characteristics of the gold standard by constraining the degree of finance in a manner which effectively brought down the general price levels.”

Earlier, in December 2002, Mr. Greenspan spoke before the Economic Club of New York and addressed the same subject: “The record of the past 20 years appears to underscore the observation that, although pressures for excess issuance of fiat money are chronic, a prudent monetary policy maintained over a protracted period of time can contain the forces of inflation.” There are several problems with this optimistic assessment. First, efficient central bankers will never replace the invisible hand of a commodity monetary standard. Second, using government price indexes to measure the success of a managed fiat currency should not be reassuring.

These indexes can be arbitrarily altered to imply a successful monetary policy. Also, price increases of consumer goods are not a litmus test for measuring the harm done by the money managers at the Fed. The development of overcapacity, excessive debt, and speculation still occur, even when prices happen to remain reasonably stable due to increases in productivity and technology. Chairman Greenspan makes his argument because he hopes he’s right that sound money is no longer necessary, and also because it’s an excuse to keep the inflation of the money supply going for as long as possible, hoping a miracle will restore sound growth to the economy. But that’s only a dream.

We are now faced with an economy that is far from robust and may get a lot worse before rebounding. If not now, the time will soon come when the conventional wisdom of the last 90 years, since the Fed was created, will have to be challenged. If the conditions have changed and the routine of fiscal and monetary stimulation don’t work, we better prepare ourselves for the aftermath of a failed dollar system, which will not be limited to the United States.

An interesting headline appeared in the New York Times on July 31, 2003, “Commodity Costs Soar, But Factories Don’t Bustle.” What is observed here is a sea change in attitude by investors shifting their investment funds and speculation into things of real value and out of financial areas, such as stocks and bonds. This shift shows that in spite of the most aggressive Fed policy in history in the past three years, the economy remains sluggish and interest rates are actually rising. What can the Fed do? If this trend continues, there’s little they can do. Not only do I believe this trend will continue, I believe it’s likely to accelerate. This policy plays havoc with our economy; reduces revenues, prompts increases in federal spending, increases in deficits and debt occur, and interest costs rise, compounding our budgetary woes.

The set of circumstances we face today are unique and quite different from all the other recessions the Federal Reserve has had to deal with. Generally, interest rates are raised to slow the economy and dampen price inflation. At the bottom of the cycle interest rates are lowered to stimulate the economy. But this time around, the recession came in spite of huge and significant interest rate reductions by the Fed. This aggressive policy did not prevent the recession as was hoped; so far it has not produced the desired recovery.

Now we’re at the bottom of the cycle and interest rates not only can’t be lowered, they are rising. This is a unique and dangerous combination of events. This set of circumstances can only occur with fiat money and indicates that further manipulation of the money supply and interest rates by the Fed will have little if any effect.

The odds aren’t very good that the Fed will adopt a policy of not inflating the money supply because of some very painful consequences that would result. Also there would be a need to remove the pressure on the Fed to accommodate the big spenders in Congress. Since there are essentially only two groups that have any influence on spending levels, big-government liberals and big- government conservatives, that’s not about to happen. Poverty is going to worsen due to our monetary and fiscal policies, so spending on the war on poverty will accelerate.

Our obsession with policing the world, nation building, and pre-emptive war are not likely to soon go away, since both Republican and Democratic leaders endorse them. Instead, the cost of defending the American empire is going to accelerate. A country that is getting poorer cannot pay these bills with higher taxation nor can they find enough excess funds for the people to loan to the government. The only recourse is for the Federal Reserve to accommodate and monetize the federal debt, and that, of course, is inflation.

It’s now admitted that the deficit is out of control, with next year’s deficit reaching over one-half trillion dollars, not counting the billions borrowed from “trust funds” like Social Security. I’m sticking to my prediction that within a few years the national debt will increase over $1 trillion in one fiscal year. So far, so good, no big market reactions, the dollar is holding its own and the administration and congressional leaders are not alarmed. But they ought to be.

I agree, it would be politically tough to bite the bullet and deal with our extravagance, both fiscal and monetary, but the repercussions here at home from a loss of confidence in the dollar throughout the world will not be a pretty sight to behold. I don’t see any way we are going to avoid the crisis.

We do have some options to minimize the suffering. If we decided to, we could permit some alternatives to the current system of money and banking we have today.

Already, we took a big step in this direction. Gold was illegal to own between 1933 and 1976. Today millions of Americans do own some gold.

Gold contracts are legal, but a settlement of any dispute is always in Federal Reserve notes. This makes gold contracts of limited value.

For gold to be an alternative to Federal Reserve notes, taxes on any transactions in gold must be removed, both sales and capital gains.

Holding gold should be permitted in any pension fund, just as dollars are permitted in a checking account of these funds.

Repeal of all legal tender laws is a must. Sound money never requires the force of legal tender laws. Only paper money requires such laws.

These proposals, even if put in place tomorrow, would not solve all the problems we face. It would though, legalize freedom of choice in money, and many who worry about having their savings wiped out by a depreciating dollar would at least have another option. This option would ease some of the difficulties that are surely to come from runaway deficits in a weakening economy with skyrocketing inflation.

Curbing the scope of government and limiting its size to that prescribed in the Constitution is the goal that we should seek. But political reality makes this option available to us only after a national bankruptcy has occurred. We need not face that catastrophe. What we need to do is to strictly limit the power of government to meddle in our economy and our personal affairs, and stay out of the internal affairs of other nations.

Conclusion
It’s no coincidence that during the period following the establishment of the Federal Reserve and the elimination of the gold standard, a huge growth in the size of the federal government and its debt occurred. Believers in big government, whether on the left or right, vociferously reject the constraints on government growth that gold demands.

Liberty is virtually impossible to protect when the people allow their government to print money at will. Inevitably, the left will demand more economic interventionism, the right more militarism and empire building. Both sides, either inadvertently or deliberately, will foster corporatism. Those whose greatest interest is in liberty and self-reliance are lost in the shuffle. Though left and right have different goals and serve different special-interest groups, they are only too willing to compromise and support each other’s programs.

If unchecked, the economic and political chaos that comes from currency destruction inevitably leads to tyranny- a consequence of which the Founders were well aware. For 90 years we have lived with a central bank, with the last 32 years absent of any restraint on money creation. The longer the process lasts, the faster the printing presses have to run in an effort to maintain stability. They are currently running at record rate. It was predictable and is understandable that our national debt is now expanding at a record rate.

The panicky effort of the Fed to stimulate economic growth does produce what it considers favorable economic reports, recently citing second quarter growth this year at 3.1%. But in the footnotes, we find that military spending—almost all of which is overseas- was up an astounding 46%. This, of course, represents deficit spending financed by the Federal Reserve’s printing press. In the same quarter, after-tax corporate profits fell 3.4%. This is hardly a reassuring report on the health of our economy and merely reflects the bankruptcy of current economic policy.

Real economic growth won’t return until confidence in the entire system is restored. And that is impossible as long as it depends on the politicians not spending too much money and the Federal Reserve limiting its propensity to inflate our way to prosperity. Only sound money and limited government can do that.

'The Net' shoves Ron Paul right down ABC's throat !

It was embarrassing !

Whether ABC purposely left Cong. Ron Paul out of their poll, or whether they're just so arrogant that they just assumed that they know who the candidates are, or should be, they got a cold slap in the face the other day.

After deciding to ignore the 800 pound gorilla on the debate the other night, they thought by not including Mr. Paul in their 'poll', they could steer the results in the direction they wanted.

Wrong !

It didn't take long ! Pretty soon the net erupted and they were swamped with calls and emails demanding that Ron Paul be included.Well it didn't take ABC long to figure it out, they knew they were busted. It would seem like ABC is learning a valuable lesson that DIGG.com just recently learned about modern day America. Americans talk back. And when enough of us talk back and say the same thing, they listen. If they don't listen, we tell the world. Then they listen.

Regardless of whose poll numbers you use, it has become obvious to anyone willing to look, that Americans all over this country, responded to Cong. Ron Paul's message and his straight forward programs to rescue this train wreck that The United States has become. Immigration, The Economy, The War, as you go down the list, his common sense approach and singly focused view of what is best for America within the framework of what the Constitution says, makes him stand out from the rest of the group of professional liars, thieves, and grade B actors like a bonfire on a dark night!

I wouldn't want to be Ron Paul. I've heard that he has some real concerns about his safety should he become a serious contender. And I must admit that we as a country don't have a great record when it come to protecting our leaders when they don't go along with the Bankers and other corporate Godfathers.

I have no inside information about what the future holds for the good congressman, but one thing I CAN say by way of observation ..

As the Constitution states, “[n]o Money shall be drawn from the Treasury, but in Consequence of Appropriations made by Law.” Article I, Section 9, Clause 7. And no “Appropriations” can be “made by Law” if the statutes supposedly authorizing them violate the Constitution. Article VI, Clause 2.

The parties liable in justice are the politicians, bureaucrats, judges, and special-interest groups that have gorged on these payoffs.

The Law of Balance is about to devour the aforementioned. The sooner the better.

One reason why patriotic Americans are accomplishing precious little in reasserting control over their country, while the Establishment steadily advances its agenda on almost all fronts, is that patriots are not taking advantage of their overwhelming numerical superiority in the places where they can best bring it to bear. Instead of joining together for effective—indeed, potentially unstoppable—political, and particularly legislative, action in favorable venues at the State and Local levels, all too many of them are sitting out the contest as mere spectators.

This is because most Americans are not rabid political animals with ravenous appetites to dominate, oppress, and exploit others, but instead are basically decent people who want only to be left alone to lead their own lives, as they see fit, in peace and quiet. They may be aware of some of the schemes the Establishment’s political Pinocchios are hatching in the Disgrace of Columbia and various State capitals. Yet they hope that the worst of these complots will not come to fruition during their lifetimes, or that in any event they personally can avoid trouble, remain well employed, and continue to enjoy reasonably good incomes, live in respectable homes, and eventually enjoy comfortable retirement. But why do they hope and imagine that such a scenario is possible?

The notion that a placid and prosperous life for most Americans can continue indefinitely is unrealistic. There will be trouble. Big trouble. And sooner rather than later.

It Happened Quite Suddenly…
…really, more suddenly than most people thought that it could. Even some of the doom-sayers were caught by surprise. Who would have thought that America could go from super-power to third world status, in just two short months.

Some blamed the Chinese. Others blamed OPEC. Still others knew that it had been building for a long time and that all it would take is one or two major currency crisis’ to make things go from bad to terrible.

In late 2006, the US sent an economic A-team to China. Their stated purpose was to cut a deal with China on trade and currency issues. But the real purpose was to go with hat in hand to their creditor and ask for an extension on their credit line. Unfortunately, China had already made up its mind that there would be no further credit increases and in fact, the US needed to make good on its repayment promises, …namely Treasury Bonds. Of course the A-team offered to buy the bonds back and even offered a premium to sweeten the deal. However, China demanded to be paid for the face value of the bonds in gold. The US Treasury no longer had any gold. Fort Knox had laid empty for many years as the Treasury had sold off gold to keep the price down and make it look like monetary inflation wasn’t as bad as it really was. If the US began trying to buy gold to pay the Chinese off, the additional money they would have to create would flood the market making things worse and the demand on gold would make the price skyrocket, thus exposing the Dollar fraud.

China had the upper hand and they knew it. If they couldn’t get a private deal for gold from the US, they would have to make deals for machinery, oil, gold and other metals with other countries. They would have prefered that those be in private also, since once exposed, they would create a run on Dollars. But such things are hard to keep secret in the world market. Markets and currencies talk. They are the best forms of communication that ever existed. Especially on matters of an economic nature.

Even though China had over a Trillion Dollars in their reserves , they also knew that they had a tiger by the tail. And even though the tiger probably couldn’t devour them, they new it could do some major damage if they let go without wearing it down a little. They needed to ditch their Dollar reserves, but they needed to do it in such a way that it didn’t promote a Dollar panic. Such a panic would cost them in the later stages of their divestment, and that needed to be avoided, if possible. At the same time, they realized that they needed to start the divestment as quickly as possible. If they waited until another nervous holder of Dollars started to dump them, they would be hurt even worse. They couldn’t take that chance. Better to be the one to start the panic than end up on the other end with worthless paper. They knew they couldn’t get their trillion dollars out the reserves, but they figured that if they were careful they may be able to retrieve 70 cents on the dollar.

After the A-team’s uninspiring trip, the President went to China to beg, in person. This only made the Chinese smile. They knew they would not be budged and it amused them, the antics that their American counterparts were willing to go. They viewed the circumstances as very big embarassment, and it was. The US had lost face.

Soon after the president returned, trade sanctions were proposed and passed in Congress. 30% tariffs were to be levied on all Chinese imports. Apparently the Congress hadn’t been paying much attention and didn’t realize that most of the products sold in American stores were made in China. The President made one last call to the Chinese in a last minute attempt to get some additional credit, but the Chinese refused to budge. So the president signed the tariff bill into law.

The immediate effect was that prices in stores went up some 30-40%. That same week, China began to quietly buy as much material and commodities as it could using their Dollar reserves. At first this was barely a blip on the radar. Oh, the dollar index began to fall, to be sure, but that had been forecast anyway. The treasury department had been going back an forth on a “strong Dollar” vs. “weak Dollar” policy for several years. No one really knew what they had in mind, but anyone who could add and subtract realized that wildly expanding money supply could only mean inflation and a weak Dollar. So no one got real excited that first week.

By the second week, politics were getting very interesting in the United States. People who were on fixed incomes, and especially people who were on Social Security and government pensions, were suddenly finding it hard to make ends meet. They had used up half on their monthly income in one week. They could read the writin’ on the wall and started calling their congressmen. At the same time, Congress was in the process of raising taxes to try to offset the loss of bond sales. This then hit those who worked. Suddenly, at the same time that things were getting more expensive in the stores, they had, on average, 20% less money to begin with. It was being taken through the additional taxes. They also called their congressmen.

So the legislators were getting calls from two very vocal groups, one telling them to raise benefits and the other telling them to cut taxes. With the loss of bond sales they knew they couldn’t do both, so they did what they had always done…they stalled for time.

It was about the third week that many more oil producers started requiring purchasers to use any currency other than Dollars. Venezuela had already done so, as had Iran and the UAE. As soon as they realized what China was up to, they also began to divest themselves of the Dollar. Soon the Dollar index was flaling like a rock. The Euro and Yaun were gaining rapidly, as they were still easier to trade than gold and had a lot less debt attached to them. But because they were fiat currencies as well, many were also trading gold. This made gold “shoot for the moon”. It quickly reached its real value to the Dollar of $3000/oz and continued to climb. Silver, being the poor man’s gold also started climbing at an accelerated rate. It grew even faster than gold, for as the demand climbed it became apparent that there was a lot less silver in the world than was previouls thought. Far less. Silver quickly attained $100/oz, then $200, then $300 in a matter of days.

The result on the COMEX was complete collapse. Several major trading firms had been manipulating the price of gold and silver for years. Suddenly their short contracts had to be delivered in metals that were very expensive. It wiped out the market place and several large corporations with it. As the COMEX collapsed, the Stock market came under fire. Usually these markets traded off of one another. But with the collapse of the COMEX and the Bond markets, the Stock market started to look like a suckers bet. So investors started to flee in droves.

All the while, the market programs on CNBC, Bloomberg and CNN Financial, continued to tout it all as a correction that would quickly be over with little harm to anyone. The trouble was, no one was watching anymore. Most had ditched their cable and satellite when the bills became difficult to pay. As the prices went up in the stores, businesses had to raise their employees pay in order to keep them on. This led them to an increase in the price of the domestic products that they sold. So prices all around were going up at an alarming rate. Crime exploded, especially in the cities. But people weren’t stealing TVs or cars, they were stealing food, gas, silver jewelry and flatware, gold (where they could find it) and currency. Banks were getting robbed two and three times a week as people became desperate to find curency with which to buy food and gas.
Police were over-worked and like everyone else, over-taxed and suddenly underpaid. At the same time they were coming underfire for trying to enforce traffic laws, drug laws and gun laws. It never occured to them that these laws were foolish to begin with, that they violated the very essence of the Constitution and freedom that was supposed to be the spirit of America. But suddenly, if an officer tried to stop a speeder, he was like to be fired on by an angry citizen who saw no useful purpose to his being pulled over for an regulatory infraction that harmed no one. People were packing firearms. Some concealed, but most not. After a few officers were killed trying to take arms away from the citizens, they decided to let that go too. Pretty soon, they stopped responding to all regulatory functions and simply reponded to actual crimes…you know…the ones that had actual victims.

It was along about the fifth week that power disruptions began to appear. Many of the power companies still employed union workers, and like everybody else in America they were finding it hard to make ends meet. But they weren’t calling their congressmen, they were calling their union leaders and complaining about unfair wage practices and that the union leaders were failing in their representation repsonsibilites. Initially the unions went to the employers and tried to work out a deal. But, the companies were already in a bind as the price of everything was going up faster than they could get rate increases from the state regulatory boards. They were already operating in the red and the banks weren’t being very helpful.

So the unions began work slowdowns, and sabotage of the systems. The North American electric grid had been in dismal shape for years anyway, and the tampering and work slow downs qucikly brought it to its knees. Rolling blackouts became the norm. Some areas never saw commercial power again. The power companies were taken over by the government, and the military was sent in to the major cities to restore the distribution system. In order to conserve power, distribution to residential areas was cut off. The people there were told to relocate to camps that were set up in all of the major cities to provide more efficient distribution of food and services and to conserve electrical power. About half of the population went to these camps only to find out that they were then stuck there. Their vehicles were confiscated, but it really didn’t matter, no one could afford gas anymore. They were given work assignments under the guise of “helping America get back on her feet”. But most of these jobs consisted of maintaining the camps and assiting the military in working on the power grid and the telephone system. Some worked on water systems, others in shipping areas of the remaining businesses, which had also been taken over by the government or had to operate under heavy supervision. Pirating and stealing were rampant.

By the sixth week, most of the interstates were empty. The gas stations had long since run out of customers. They could still get fuel, but few could afford it. Gasoline was running around $35/gal. Before the crash they had used gas prices to entice customers into their store. They rarely made more than 2-3% on the fuel sales, Their real money was made in the food and drinks they sold. But they couldn’t get supplies anymore. Many of the distributors had gone out of business, unable to afford the rising costs of their workers and fuel. Some distibutors had been taken over by the government, but these serviced the camps and elite who lived in the big cities. Highway robbery was common if one were to venture down a lonely highway without a military escort. Farmers would come in and trade crops and fresh meat for fuel. This kept the stores in business, but it was slow and they had to be wary of thieves coming in to steal their goods. Everybody took their safety seriously, so everyone in the rural areas carried firearms. They knew that they were the only ones who could be responsible for their safety. It really was that way all along, but they had let the government convince them that it could protect them from all crime. Some chuckled at that thought, but most just smacked their head at their past foolishness. The folks in the camps weren’t so lucky. They were disarmed upon entering the camps. So they became victims of the various camp gangs that ran the underground economies.

By the seventh week, government offices were all closed. The Dollar had completely collapsed and wasn’t excepted for payment on anything. Dollar bills of all denominations blew down the semi-empty streets of the cities. Many government workers were thrown into the camps or out on the street. The government could only pay them in goods that it stole from businesses and farms that it had taken over. Some people revolted directly. This mainly happened in small towns and counties where leaders had refused to believe that their authoritarian reign was over. Judges and lawyers who had cheated citizens in court were commonly seen hanging from trees and lamp posts, their houses burned to the ground. A few sheriffs and deputies went that way too. Tax collectors had long been dispatched or had gone into hiding.

By the eighth week, the government ran the cities and the country folk ran themselves. There was too much ground and not enough soldiers to police the whole country. The government was able to use its forces more efficiently in the higher density areas of the cities, and for the most part that is where they stayed. Even though convoys were escorted by the military, they often came under fire and were pirated. Trade sometimes occured between the country folk and the city folk, but it was illegal from the governments position, even if a few of the city leaders and elite were some of the major players. So the government turned a blind eye. It had no choice.

In two months the United States had gone from being the biggest consumer market in the world, to a country that had nothing to trade and no currency with which to trade. Prices worldwide had exploded, as foreign central bankers divested themselves of Dollars and had to buy much more expensive currency to replace it. This required them to do what all central banks do….print more money, which continued their own vicious cycle towards worthlessness.

I Am Angry

Dear Lew, the Honorable Ron Paul’s piece on why Americans are angry really stirred me to respond. Mr. Paul’s piece speaks about many issues facing Americans today.

I am a 51-year-old woman. I have been married to the same man since 1976. I am the secretary/office manager for a small legal firm in the D.C. suburbs. My husband manages a wine and spirits store. I have two sons, aged 26 and 22. After realizing it wasn’t possible to support themselves and the government at the same time, both returned to the nuclear nest. Along with most people in my economic situation, I believe I am living what is supposed to be the American dream. I know why I am an angry American. I am frightened because America isn’t the same country it was when I was my children’s age. Allow me to share with you some of the reasons why I am an angry American.

I am angry because my government has been taken over by liars, thieves, thugs, deviants, and micromanagers. The propaganda it produces rivals that of the most fascist dictatorship.

I am angry that my government perceives my intelligence to be that of a jar of pickles incapable of making the smallest decision.

I am angry that my government takes it upon itself to shove its clucking nose into my pantry, medicine chest, bedroom, family room, doctor’s office, workplace, and everywhere else it thinks I need guidance to keep me safe from myself.

I am angry that the will of the American people is ignored on every issue imaginable. If voting really mattered, it would have been outlawed long ago.

I am angry that I am called a conspiracy theorist because I dare to think on my own and question authority and its lies.

I am angry that the more I read about 9-11 the more it looks like an inside job that was allowed to happen, enabling the Patriot Act to be conveniently enacted into law with the ensuing "war on terrah" following closely on its heels.

I am angry that the evil puppets in power think laws are created for the peon masses and it is their right to ignore the ones that get in the way of their agenda.

I am angry that the media has sold its soul to the evil forces running the world.

I am angry that my "leaders" have taken to calling my country the "homeland." It reeks of socialism.

I am angry that my government has invaded yet another sovereign nation and caused untold death and destruction based on a flimsy lie. I am expected to believe that weapons of mass destruction threatened my freedom and then I am told several years and billions of squandered dollars later that a massive intelligence network got the wrong information. A select group of businesses profit enormously from war. When Bush announced his intention to save Iraq from itself and that its oil would pay for the overthrow of Hussein, I laughed so hard I nearly choked. I remember the instability in the Middle East during the 1970s and the gas "shortages" that followed. I knew which direction gas prices would go. How stupid does Mr. Bush and his cronies think I am?

I am angry that the world stands silently by while my government bombs foreign lands with weapons containing depleted uranium and the news magazines wonder on their front covers why lung cancer has increased six-fold in the last year.

I am angry that Americans accept as gospel the propaganda that is routinely cranked out of the Washington lie machine. The lies become more transparent and brazen with each passing year, yet the only thing that seems to matter in living rooms across America is who will be the next American Idol.

I am angry that I am punished with high energy and gas prices and the resulting inflation because tree-hugging terrorists masquerading as environmentalists have handcuffed my country’s ability to produce its own energy. It would be easy to tell the Middle East what to do with their oil if restrictions on exploration and production were lifted in our own backyard.
I am angry that I am constantly admonished by minimalists for being a greedy consumer because I live where I choose, drive the vehicle of my choice, eat meat, and use tin foil to cover my leftovers.

I am angry that my life doesn’t belong to me anymore.

I am angry that I am required to obtain permission, fill out mandated paperwork in quadruplicate, and obtain the correct license or permit for just about everything imaginable. The tentacles of government are strangling my freedom, choice, and privacy at an alarming rate. The wrath of the machine is a constant threat should I dare do anything without leaving a neon paper trail and of course ignorance of the law is never an excuse.

I am angry that property rights are a thing of the past thanks to court-approved eminent domain theft.

I am angry that the Constitution is routinely declared irrelevant making it easier for a fascist police state and new world order to take over.

I am angry that legislation is in the works that will require me to carry "papers" to "prove" who I am. Another coming law I will ignore.

I am angry that my right to own and carry a firearm is drastically regulated and restricted.

I am angry every time I see a young person detained on the side of the road while cops paw through their possessions looking for anything that could enable them to be arrested and dragged through the criminal justice system. This has become so commonplace it is now the accepted norm.

I am angry that roadblocks are set up under the guise of keeping roads free of drunk drivers. What has happened to my right to travel freely? Why am I presumed guilty without probable cause? I am afraid to have a few drinks when I go out to dinner for fear I will be pulled over and end up in court-ordered drug rehabilitation.

I am angry when I read stories of Americans terrorized in airports and treated like common criminals by government minions after they have paid for the right to travel within a private system, yet pilots are blocked from carrying firearms.

I am angry that America has become a nation of busybodies. We are constantly bombarded with messages to be on the lookout for terrorists around every corner, report "suspicious activity," and rat on our neighbor whenever the opportunity presents itself. Is this not how the Nazis gained control of Germany and then most of Europe?

I am angry that the government requires me to sign a form every time I purchase a prescription. Whose business is it that I choose to take a thyroid medication, an antibiotic, a painkiller, an appetite suppressant, or any other substance? Am I dying of cancer? Am I facing debilitating chronic pain? Do I simply want to get HIGH? Heaven forbid someone out there might get their hands on something that might make them FEEL GOOD! No substance should be illegal or unobtainable. If a person wishes to self-medicate, that is their right. The government should not be in the business of criminalizing personal choices of any kind as long as those choices don’t infringe on another’s rights.

I am angry that my government meddles in the lives of people all over the world but looks the other way on the catastrophic issue of what to do about the millions of illegals who have crashed the gates of this nation. My country’s laws are ignored and mocked, yet I am told I must accept with open arms those who are here illegally. My taxes are used to educate their children in their native language. Hospitals are overrun with indigent people seeking medical care. Untaxed dollars earned in the underground economy are sent to the family back home while social services here are stretched to the limit. I read job want ads stating if you aren’t bilingual don’t bother to apply. What would happen to me if I placed an ad that said don’t bother to apply if your English isn’t understandable? Marches are conducted in my cities’ streets waving their countries’ flags as they shamelessly demand their "rights." I am told they deserve the same opportunities that brought my forefathers here. I am scolded that it is un-American to ask why they are not sent home. I am told that the term "illegal alien" offends them and that they prefer to be called "undocumented workers" and that my economy would die without them. I will happily pay more for fruits and vegetables if it means enforcing sensible immigration laws. But immigration isn’t about the cost of lettuce. It is another facet of an agenda that is bent on changing the face of America. When America is no longer a wealthy country of white European descent, it will be a place worse than anything Orwell could have imagined.

I am angry that my country is the only nation on earth who declares that a baby born on its soil is automatically an American citizen.

I am angry that the thugs that run my country don’t have the guts to declare English my nation’s official language.

I am angry that I have to search a package for English and push a button on every telephone system and ATM machine to continue in English.

I am angry that Washington, D.C.’s Metro is now being pressured to replace every station sign with bilingual verbiage to the tune of millions of dollars. Are bilingual road signs going to be the next mandated law of the land? I am currently forced to pay for voting ballots printed in 15 different languages and my tax dollars pay for interpreter services for people who are summoned to court for breaking laws. If English is the international language of the world, why isn’t it good enough to be the official language of the United States?

I am angry when I am told I am a bigot when I thumb my nose at political correctness.

I am angry when I wonder whether an expressed belief or opinion could land me in litigation if someone doesn’t like what I said and wants to silence my voice.

I am angry that diversity and sensitivity training is being forced on people whose only crime is to dare to speak freely.

I am angry that the symbols, customs, and roots of my Judeo-Christian country are being systematically outlawed because my culture offends newcomers. When we freely choose to go somewhere, are we not accepting the customs and cultures of that place? I am weary of being made to feel guilty for being an American.

And finally, I am angry that after working my entire adult life, I don’t see retirement in my life’s picture. My husband and I earn over a hundred thousand dollars a year, but by the time we pay federal taxes, state taxes, social security taxes, property taxes, sales taxes, excise taxes, energy taxes, telecommunication taxes, savings taxes, fees, permits, etc., there isn’t much left. But please don’t think that I mind supporting every deadbeat and down-and-outer with his hand out for a piece of my pie that I worked so hard for. I love supporting the world. After all, it’s the American way, isn’t it?

Village Councilman refuses to take oath of office.

His loyalty is to the Constitution, not to this government:

In Florida, prior to performing the duties of public office, the public officer must take and file an oath of office which states that “I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support, protect and defend the Constitution and government of the United States and the State of Florida.”

State law is very specific that if a public officer does not take and file his oath of office he in essence refuses to serve and vacates the office as a matter of law.

No oath, no office.

Dalack has stated that if he takes the oath, then he in essence is supporting the war in Iraq and the Bush administration which he does not do.

He has sued the municipality in federal court to have the oath declared unconstitutional because he says it violates his right to free speech and denies him, without due process, his right to occupy his elective office. Dalack also wants the words “and government” removed from the oath so that a person doesn’t have to swear or affirm that he or she supports the government.

Since printing paper money is nothing short of counterfeiting, the issuer of the international currency must always be the country with the military might to guarantee control over the system. This magnificent scheme seems the perfect system for obtaining perpetual wealth for the country that issues the de facto world currency. The one problem, however, is that such a system destroys the character of the counterfeiting nation’s people-- just as was the case when gold was the currency and it was obtained by conquering other nations. And this destroys the incentive to save and produce, while encouraging debt and runaway welfare.

The economic law that honest exchange demands only things of real value as currency cannot be repealed. The chaos that one day will ensue from our 35-year experiment with worldwide fiat money will require a return to money of real value. CONSTITUTIONAL "LITMUS TEST" FOR JUDICIAL NOMINEES

As the Founding Fathers' legal mentor William Blackstone made clear, "whenever a question arises between the society at large and any magistrate vested with powers originally delegated by that society, it must be decided by the voice of the society itself: there is not upon earth any other tribunal to resort to". Commentaries on the Laws of England (American ed., 1771-1773), Volume 1, at 212. If the Justices do not know this, they are simply incompetent to hold their offices. If they do know it, in claiming "judicial supremacy" they are usurping power in defiance of their “Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution" (Article VI, Clause 3), and are disqualified from office on that account.

The cowardice and complicity of politicians in Congress is not the only explanation for this sorry state of affairs. Arguably even more responsible are the tens of millions of Americans who refuse to recognize that their own freedom requires self-government, and that self-government requires them to take the reins of government into their own hands. Either they will rule themselves, or someone else will rule them, and in a way they will find most disagreeable. Worse yet, time is running out. Americans had better act quickly, because the "democratic centralism" of "judicial supremacy" is proving itself an increasingly defective, dangerous, and even demented mechanism.

Russian MP Says US To Attack Iran Late March

Our prison population reflects the steady growth of legislation making it impossible for one to step outside their home and take a breath of fresh air without breaking at least one of the laws on the books! And when they get to one of these confinement facilities, they are stripped naked, put in lockdown, beaten, and humiliated Abu Gharib style, and then there are those black robed rebels who circumvent every provision of the Constitutional law of the United States in order to arrest, confine and convict those who have found them out.

And George W. Bush isn’t the President of the United States any more than Jon M. Huntsman Jr. is the Governor of the State of Utah, and we should stop addressing him as such. Forget about impeachment or recalls. There isn’t anyone with any authority to impeach, so there is no reason to do it.

George W. Bush was not duly elected by the People through the Constitution or the democratic process, but by the Supreme Court.

But pastor Baldwin did make a significant identification when he wrote, “What is worse is there appears to be a sizeable segment of our country that seems fine with it.”

A Good Day in a Kangaroo Court

I never though I would hear myself saying such a thing but we cleaned out the courtroom. The preparations went down to the wire, but everything came together at the last minute. The unofficial Attorney for the banking interests was literally shaking as the defendant put him to the wall , so to speak, in a private room. (no witnesses allowed) The scene is best described below by the defendant:

Dear Team,

What a day – it looks like that the Plaintiff dropped the case after a very interesting morning session. The attached the MANDATORY JUDICIAL NOTICE (got filed last night) and the MOTION TO DISMISS (the real one), we filed this morning right before the Judge was to start the case. After is was recorded, it was hand delivered to the Judge by the Clerk – the Judge never came out to see us, made us wait for 45 minutes (he must have gone home to change his diapers? – then an other judge came to hear the case – told the Plaintiff’s Attorney to settle with me under all circumstances – we guess, the CACV/FLEET attorneys must have been told to get rid of this case and let me go free, since they did not want the Judge, or court to get cooked over our Bond claims along with other key content as you’ll see in the attached MOTIONS. There is much more to it – but let’s talk when we get to talk – great experience for all of us that made it to the court today – the “people” win, the corrupt bankers and government loses!

While the morning was cause for celebration, the afternoon took a different turn when an unofficial Justice, Keith L. Stoney, in an unofficial West Valley City Justice Court sent the Governor of the State of Utah (Not Jon M. Huntsman Jr.) to jail, AGAIN, in an attempted extortionate extension of credit (an unlawful paper money fine) relating to a bogus contempt charge and jailing for which he had no authority to execute in the first place. This guy Stoney, who wears black dresses, just doesn’t know when to quit, but will be looking for new employment in not so many days. The defendant in the right to travel case prevailed on appeal by the way, and that purported judge didn’t know when to quit either, because he didn’t give the car stolen by the unofficial police officer without due process of law back to the defendant, leaving it open for further action, and exposure of their racketeering corrupt fraternity of oath and covenant breaking extortionists.

These people don’t realize how close they are to being displaced, or how close the renversment of unofficial government in the State of Utah really is. (According to my boss - a Jewish carpenter)

They are, however, demonstrating their proficiency at cooking their own goose! Perhaps they will find productive employment in the ever expanding service sector as food handlers, provided all the jobs haven’t been filled by those flooding in from the southern border.

This is a beacon call to all government unofficials in every sector of the command structure. You will be the first ones to be fed into the meat grinder when the bell tolls. The conspirators have no compassion, no loyalty towards you. You are safer in the light than skulking around in the dark continually seeking justification for your ignorance and obliviousness.

Although one doesn’t have to be OF this world, the reality is that you have to live IN this world, and though you can get to the parallel universe in ten seconds, the other one is always 180 degrees away trying to suck you back in. For example, the unofficial judges her in the Beehive State of Utah seem to be making a habit out of throwing my compatriots in jail for contempt these days.

This time it’s another man dressed in a black dress enforcing the illegitimate demands of a bunch of banksters to protect his unearned livelihood. Although we should prevail, we won’t really know until Tuesday what the outcome will be, or if we will have to bail another one out of the gray bar motel. I would be less that honest if I were to say I enjoy this malarky. I don’t, and would prefer I didn’t have to deal with it! Not that I have an obligation, but the sad reality is that if we don’t all hang together, we will surely hang separately. So I guess I will dawn my TYRANNY RESPONSE TEAM jacket and go traipsing back to another kangaroo court to watch the horse and pony show.

No doubt, I'll be speechless.

I haven’t posted much about taxes, money, and secret combinations for a while, but that’s what happens when you leave the anticivilization. The problems go away, and it’s difficult to find a good reason to come back. I lost ten pounds, automatically, and got back to the ideal weight I was at 30 years ago. It feels wonderful not carrying the extra load! I’m not sure why this happened, but perhaps it came from relieving the stress and anxiety that goes hand in hand with living in the anticivilization hoax. I picked up some wonderful new clients and the work has kept me busy, and it’s incredible the things that start flowing your way after successfully completing this little ten second excercise.. It’s hard to pen to paper without it turning into a disposition.

...it should be known by the borrowing public that Banksters and other Lenders have jeopardized their postiton as a 'holder in due course' for some rather glaring reasons.

The Promissory Note says the Bank can foreclose if payments are not received on schedule. Further, many Promissory Notes contain an 'acceleration clause 'which means the Bank can 'call' the Note anytime it desires to do so, without Notice....the full remaining balance is due right now!

So where is the 'good faith'? There is NONE on behalf of the Bank/Lender who has nothing at risk, yet can take the Mortgaged property at a whim.

Further, because a Bank/Lender puts nothing at risk (just a simple bookkeeping/computer entry)it is not qualified to be a 'holder in due course' as it has given nothing of value and is charging interest on NON-EXISTANT funds!

It is time for the American Debtor Public to be aware of the sham to which they are an unwitting party.

The same analogy applies here as it does with Statutory Law (color of law) and FRN's (colorable money)....both appear to genuine but are absolute fakes.

One problem for the global planners was how to get Americans to be willing to live under a world government. By Jove, he is indeed correct! George Bush represents an ANTI-CIVILIZATION that is leading to the elimination of everyone on planet Earth, as if life never existed.

Several days ago I sat in a sandwich shop contemplating a series of epiphanies and network connections I had made last week. I had finally reached the top of the anticivilization pyramid. A spiritual calm came across me as tears began to well up as I contemplated the escape, and the direction I intend to take in light of the picture I saw as the pieces of the puzzle snapped into place.

Over the past several days there have been several articles that encapsulate the intended purpose of this weblog, and reinforce my justification of leaving this anti-civilization behind. Piling through page after page after page of bad news on a daily basis for several years to support my hypothesis isn’t exactly a productive use of my time if the intent, to wake up my countrymen to their awful situation, was simply a waste of time because my countrymen cannot see these things for themselves because in seeing them, they would finally have to admit that their dreams of peace and liberty are truly dead and gone; and with only themselves to blame insomuch that they bury their heads in the sand and continue to turn their backs and their minds, almost as if in not facing the reality it will somehow change.

Enough Said.

Time for a change of direction. If you don’t get it by now, there probably isn’t much hope of escape. Things WILL change, but it is now evident that my resistance to what seemed avoidable is now inevitable as the reality of rampant price inflation, the cascading effect which has already begun, will culminate in a pre-determined worldwide economic collapse and the grand daddy of the paper money scandal, War, continues to escalate as our civilization heads down the path of destruction.

Kurt Nimo posted one of the best articles I have seen from him yet, with a hard driving examination of the demise of our constitutional republic as government continues to usurp all power and relegate the Constitution of the United States of America to the dustbin of history. And over at Rense, Charlene Fassa further encapsulated the contents of this weblog with this article, Oil Storm' Sisters - Katrina And Rita.

Many of you reading this despite the tripe fed to you by 'our' "free press" know the American economy is on the verge of tanking. Some of you also know our economy is really a legitimized and glorified Ponzi scheme owned by a cabal of domestic and international gangsters. International "banksters" are at the top of the control pyramid because they own 'our' money system. We are in essence their indentured servants.

The international "banksters" through their private corporation known as the Federal Reserve, in conjunction with 'our' government, have created a private money system that involves the exchange of IOU's in lieu of constitutional money issued by the government and backed by gold or silver.

Dollars are never created/circulated to cover the interest owed on debts. All debts require an interest payment. For money to be created a debt must be made. Do you get the picture? There is never (by design) enough money in circulation to pay off the original debt plus the accruing interest of said debt. In other words, the fiat system design requires a debt bubble that can never be paid off.

The only way out of the contrived humongous mountain of individual and collective debt is to crash the economy.

I couldn’t have said it any better. It’s coming. Near the conclusion was a paragraph that reinforced the epiphanies:

It's painfully paradoxical to see the props, the stage, and the actors for what they really are and not be able to leave the theatre. If we communicate to others about our awakening, too openly and persuasively, we are at least marginalized, possibly prosecuted, or even executed. So now we are caught in a double bind, the cognitive dissidence of having one foot still in the matrix and one foot out.

Well, that one just about knocked me right out of my chair, because several years ago I pulled both feet out of this anti-civilization matrix and everything changed. Then I stuck one foot back in and have been beating my head against the proverbial brick wall ever since. It has taken a toll and induced personal decline economically, physically, and spiritually. Hopefully it has not been for nothing.

It is going to take a paradigm shift of massive proportions to invert this upside down anti-civilization pyramid so that like sands in an hourglass, the contents are reduced to an end point, and the anti-civilization reduced to the dustbin of the universe. To accomplish this achievement is going to take a MIRACLE. The first stage of identifying the HOAX in near completion. The second stage of understanding some basic underlying concepts of mans relationship with the universe is underway. The third stage involves performing the MIRACLE.

My family sets the price of gold at our bank twice daily for the London comdex. The plans are to keep the price of gold pretty steady, while also slightly increasing in a steady manner. If they stick to the plans, gold will cap off somewhere around $400 an ounce, like usual, give or take a few dollars. Well, that is until they make gold and precious metals entirely inaccessible to the general public as a whole, but by then the monetary system should be consolidated and on it's way to an electronic system of currency, with precious metals completely illegal to own by all but certain people and families.

In the recent past I published a reference to a Ten Second Miracle, but allowed a variety of distraction to prevent from following through. My work took me away from my normal routine, and the events in New Orleans took a toll on my psychology as I witnessed the events and came to grips with the reality that future so many have talked about for so long is the reality of what happening today. That future is now.

What most consider to be a civilization, I view as an anticivilization that if allowed to continue on its present path and reach its inevitable conclusion, will facilitate the destruction of everyone on planet earth as if civilization never existed. In any event, evil will destroy itself, which is the reason the conspirators can never win. Giving the prevailing paradigm, it is difficult for most to imagine a life of immortality that involves the conditions of our current place in existence, so they create a non-reality afterlife beyond this life using a misplaced faith that God is going to save them in spite of their violations of natural law. But this life is a test, and it doesn’t work that way.

This life is a probation: a probation in which you and I prove our mettle, a probation that has eternal consequences for each of us. From a metaphorical standpoint, what most people refer to as good and evil, I view as the positive and negative forces that exists in the universe, both of which are a necessary component of the natural laws of existence. Most religious people say that God created the Earth. I believe human like consciousness, whatever you choose to call the initiator, organized existence into the physical realm we inhabit that we call planet Earth.

Simply put, existence exists. Nobody created it, unless you would care to argue that existence does not exist. And like existence, intelligence exists, and the initiator provided a vehicle, the human body, that married existence and intelligence in a space that facilitates human consciousness, giving human beings the power and physical capacity to control existence. As such, the “kingdom of God is within us," as they say. However, with the ability to create comes the equal ability to destroy, and history demonstrates a prevalent nature, or evil, to destroy, as verified by civilization after civilization that lie in ruins. America, and the world today, is currently heading in the same direction as the Roman Empire.

With the marriage of existence with intelligence came free agency, an unalienable component of freedom granted by the initiator. However, given our free agency as conscious human beings and as a matter of natural law, we have the conscious ability and agency to seal our own condemnation by surrendering our power to external “authorities” if we so choose. Examples of external authorities are career politicians, judges, lawyers, police officers, theologians, and academia. We all have the same brain. The only difference is the programming. The solution is psychological.

You often hear people talk about light and dark. Dark is a relative term that describes the absence of light, a physical constituent of existence of an unlimited universe. Again, from a metaphorical perspective, I interpret light as knowledge of physical reality, and darkness as the absence of knowledge as it is referred to in statements such as moving into the light, or moving away from the dark, or finding God for example. To find God, in my view, is a metaphorical reference to finding yourself through a working knowledge of physical reality. In other words, understanding natural law, and then obeying it. The conspirators have a vested interest in maintaining a bicameral state of mind in the populace to accomplish their malevolent goals and usurp unearned power and glory. You are but a pawn in their game of chess.

The required elements to defeat this malevolent agenda and achieve a meaningful life and immortality in time and space are discipline, thought, and then control. Discipline usually requires first doing things you don’t want to do. Rational honest thought is necessary to understand physical reality and natural law to control existence and achieve a meaningful life and the ultimate goal; the preservation of human consciousness, or Immortality, in spite of the evil, or negative, that is about to destroy itself in the absence of light, or counteracting positive influence.

You are now as iniator once was. As the initiator now is, you may become. To subscribe to the pervasive influence of the current anticivilization by burying your head in the sand, running from the light, or truth, as most refer to it, is in reality nothing short of suicidal in space and time. But truth is a mushy hydra headed term for which everyone disputes its meaning, so I prefer to use the term honesty as a term that everyone can agree with.

The Parellel Universe

There is a parallel universe that exists 180 degrees parallel to the one in which many minds currently reside, and it can be accessed in 10 seconds. The necessary change is psychological. However, to perform this miracle, it is necessary to understand the forces that bind you in this present realm of existence. That’s why I post the things I do on this weblog. Not to scare people, but to wake them up to the reality of the destruction that is about to befall the current anticivilization if it is allowed to continue down the road it is traveling. It is like an automobile, if you will, that has stopped running, or is on the verge of breaking down. Restoring the vehicle to a normal operating condition requires some knowledge of how the vehicle operates, the ability to troubleshoot the mechanical failure, and then making the proper repairs to keep it going down the road, and in the right direction. However, without fundamental knowledge or the proper tools, one must rely on another individual, say a trained mechanic, to make the repairs for them. Today, much like a mechanic, we have been purposely conditioned to rely on “external authorities” to make our decisions about how to operate our vehicle.

The same principle applies in the application of a ten second miracle. However, to affect the necessary repair for yourself, it is first necessary to have fundamental background knowledge of existence, the reason or purpose for why we are where we are, and the purpose of our existence in relationship to the past, present, and the future in the space time continuum. With the proper knowledge and understanding, combined with a helicopter view of conspiratorial history, one can remove the faulty components that permit others to wreak all this havoc by creating the imbalance between the positive and negative influences found in the current paradigm of this anticivilization

However, the preparation for the execution of a ten second miracle is something that would require a huge investment of time and effort on my part. Fortunately, there are individuals who have discovered the knowledge and possess communication skills I lack from which a foundation can be built to establish a paradigm shift such as I experienced 7 years ago which lead to my first successful ten second miracle that allowed me to enter into that parallel universe. The life changing effects are stunning!

So I am extending an invitatation to participate in an E-seminar offered by Michael Haupt, author of the Three World Wars website. It won’t cost you a single monetary unit of no Thing.

As near as I can discern, these individuals have effectively learned how to step outside this anticivilization bubble where everyone is being pushed from side to side, never knowing what is going on, or who is pulling the strings, and view it from outside the bubble looking in.

So you will have to put forth the necessary discipline, time, and effort to gain the knowledge for yourself. It will take about six weeks.

Be prepared to have you paradigm challenged, but stick with it. Don’t overanalyze, and don’t be concerned about things you don’t understand immediately. Stick with it to the conclusion and the pieces of the puzzle should snap into place.

Who will win this battle between good and evil remains to be seen. CPM Group reported in its annual Silver Survey last month that newly mined and refined silver fell short of industrial demand 44.5 million ounces last year and will see another deficit of about 31.4 million ounces this year. You have just witnessed the totally pathetic actions of some NWO minions of the Guns and Fists Empire (GAFE) who have given up the ability to think for themselves in exchange for monetary units of no Thing, and whose lives are dependent on the zoo-keepers for their sustenance.

I understand you can’t eat silver and gold, and while Federal Reserve notes are a little more palatable, the nutritional value is about the same as their monetary value: Zero, excepting that some parts of the pine tree are edible, and there is some intrinsic value of the FRN tied to the cost of production. But that’s beside THE point. The power to stomp us underfoot comes from the central banks. Your paper money has served to forge the chains that bind you.

To re-establish justice, we must eliminate the Federal Reserve which, like FEMA, is a “supposed” agency of the Federal Government, and return to lawful money of the United States. We can petition our career politicians until the sun turns to ice, (Been there, done that) but it avails us nothing to petition criminals and a judiciary corrupt beyond recognition.

Having said that, and after doing what my Boss (a Jewish Carpenter) suggested, I think He will continue to vex the nation, as promised, until we start doing what he wants us to do. Bush LIED about God speaking to him. And because you all believed him and followed him into Iraq, you are now all damned for breaking four of the ten commandments you are so eager to see plastered on the walls. You all gave your consent to murder. You all gave your consent to stealing Iraq's wealth. You all gave your consent to coveting Iraq's wealth. You all gave your consent to bearing false witness against Iraq. If you truly believe that your God sends hurricanes where he will, then take a lesson from the fact that they are hitting the United States and not Iraq.

To establish justice, we should march on Fort Knox, not Washington, then coin the bullion and put it into circulation.

But that will probably never happen because the People, as a whole, are running away from the Constitution and headlong into the GAFE Zoo. As long as there are police and military minions who are willing to do the bidding of the zoo-keepers, there’s probably not much you are going to be able to do about it.

A person would be wise to store their wealth in silver and gold while there are still some folks willing to exchange it for worthless pieces of paper, and it might be wise to diversify into steel and lead. Those who are unable to figure it out might want to invest in asbestos, but I don’t think it’ll do them any good, even if they manage to escape the conventional punishment of violating natural law by participating in the conspiracy of the secret combinations among us that seek to overthrow the freedom of all lands, nations, and countries.

I keep thinking I ought to stock up on cigarettes. I hear they work well as an exchangeable commodity after the excrement hits the air propulsion unit.

Why? Because at a time when Louisiana and Mississippi National Guardsmen were desperately needed in their home states to do the job they were trained to do – to mitigate the consequences of an unprecedented natural disaster – thousands of them were halfway around the world, unlawfully sent there to fight – and perhaps die – in President Bush's war of aggression against Iraq.

By law, the constitutional powers of the president to "introduce United States Armed Forces into hostilities" are limited, and can only be exercised "pursuant to; (a) a declaration of war, (b) specific statutory authorization, or (c) a national emergency created by attack upon the United States, its territories or possessions, or its armed forces."

By law, until the president or Congress declares a National Emergency, the president has no authority over National Guard units or the guardsmen, themselves.

Governors do, but not the president.

But the polls were already showing that most Americans recognized that the rationales for invading Iraq more than two years ago, and for having so many National Guardsmen over there now, were at best wrong, and perhaps bald-faced lies.

A Declaration of Sovereignty and Rejection of the National I.D. Card

To: The President of the United States of America, the Vice President, and the Cabinet, the Speaker of the House, the Senate and House of Representatives, the Supreme Court, and the Legislatures and Executive and Judicial Officers of the Various States;

Whereas: The original form of Government, established and paid for by the blood of Our Founding Fathers, was a Constitutional Republic, which form of government is based on the Common Law, that secures to each individual the free exercise of conscience, the right and control of property, and the protection of life. These inherent and unalienable God-given rights are clearly identified in the Original Constitution of the united States of America and outlined in the Declaration of Independence and further explicated in the Bill of Rights;

And Whereas: The Declaration of Independence declares that "Whenever any form of government becomes destructive of these ends ( Our inherent and unalienable God-given rights of Life, Liberty and the pursuit of happiness ), that it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and that when a long train of abuses and usurpations pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government.

And Whereas: Each individual has inherent and unalienable God-given rights and freedoms and no rightful delegation of these rights can ever be made to or be assumed by any governing body. The free agency of man, working within the legitimate bounds of these rights and freedoms, must be held inviolate. The Constitution provides to regulate bodies of men and not individuals.

And Whereas: There are certain unalienable rights guaranteed by God to all men in the exercise of their free agency. These were sustained by the Founding Fathers and written into the Constitution. They need no interpretation, nor can they be abrogated by anyone other than God.

And Whereas: It is not the prerogative of the President of the united States of America or any one of the Executive branch of government, nor is it the prerogative of the Congress of the united States or other legislators, nor any of the Judiciary including the Supreme Court of the united States, to abridge those rights or interpret them in any manner except as stated in the original Constitution.

And Whereas: The power to abridge such rights does not rest in any of the offices of any of the States; and it is the sole prerogative of the people to determine when such rights have been abridged or when they, the people, have been robbed of their agency; and it is within the power of the people to remove from office any of the officers of the Federal government or of the State who attempt by executive order or judiciary action or arbitrary interpretation to change the Constitution.

And Whereas: Those who would unrighteously foist their will upon the people of the united States of America must be removed from office by due process of law, whether by impeachment or by initiative of the people.

And Whereas: The Constitution does provide that Congress has the power to exercise exclusive legislation in all cases whatsoever over such district not exceeding ten miles square, as may, by session of particular states and the acceptance of Congress, become the seat of government of the United States.

And Whereas: On February 21, 1871, the Forty First Congress passed an act entitled "An Act to Provide a Government for the District of Columbia," legislating the organization of a municipal corporation to run the day to day affairs of the District of Columbia, the seat of government, which transferred the United States of America, the Republic, into "a corporate entity" entitled UNITED STATES, in capital letters, having "no" jurisdiction outside the District of Columbia.

And Whereas: Congress adopted the text of the federal constitution as the constitution or charter of this municipal corporation. This municipal corporation was granted the power to contract to provide municipal services to the inhabitants of the District of Columbia and necessarily as an operation of the privileges and immunity clause of Article Four of the Constitution, any other person who chooses to contract for its services.

And Whereas: They have, through their influence and under the pretense of emergency, erected a multitude of new offices to harass our People, and eat out their substance, along with expanded search and seizure laws that further erode our constitutional rights.

And Whereas: They have subjected us to a municipal jurisdiction foreign to our constitution ("admiralty law" [which is the law of the sea] rather than "common law" [which is the law of the land]), taking away our charters, abolishing our most valuable laws, and altering fundamentally the forms of our government, forcing our assent to their acts of pretended legislation.

And Whereas: Such changes have removed all of the original safeguards including the separation of powers. Today officers of the Executive branch i.e. ATF, IRS, OSHA, EPA, HEW, etc., have usurped Legislative power by making their own "laws". They administer these same "laws" or regulations and also assume Judicial power to impose fines and penalties for those who violate "their laws". They have denied us the right to face our accuser by protecting those who report such violations and place the burden of proof upon the individual by declaring them "guilty until proven innocent", all in direct violation of the Constitutional safeguard of separation of powers;

And Whereas: Thousands of American Citizens, who have attempted to protest these violations of government powers have suffered untold persecution, even being murdered in cold blood;

And Whereas: The history of repeated injuries and usurpations by these secret powers and institutions have "seized control" of our constitutional republic, the united States of America, a sovereign nation-state, through the now existing municipal corporation, is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute Tyranny, a New World Order, over these States and this Nation.

And Whereas: Through the knowing or unknowing complicity of their Agents (local, state and federal officials) they have completely debauched the monetary system, destroyed the lives and livelihoods of millions of people, aided and abetted the enemies of America and human freedom in general, declared war on the American People and their posterity, incited rebellion and anarchy within the de jure society, taken false oaths, entered into seditious foreign agreements, pacts, confederations, treaties and alliances, and under a pretense of "emergency," formed and established a multitude of offices of alien allegiance to perpetuate their plunder, conquest and subjugation of what was once considered "the last great hope of human freedom" to ultimately establish a New World Order.

And Whereas: Amendment IV of the Bill of Rights states: The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated,...

And Whereas: In 1936, the Social Security Number (SSN) was created , it was meant to be used only as an account number associated with the administration of the Social Security system. Though use of the SSN has expanded considerably, it is not a universal identifier and efforts to make it one have been consistently rejected.

And Whereas: In 1971, the Social Security Administration task force on the SSN rejected the extension of the Social Security Number to the status of an ID card.

And Whereas: In 1973, the Health, Education and Welfare Secretary's Advisory Committee on Automated Personal Data Systems concluded that a national identifier was not desirable.

And Whereas: In 1976, the Federal Advisory Committee on False Identification rejected the idea of an identifier.

And Whereas: In 1977, the Carter Administration reiterated that the SSN was not to become an identifier.

And Whereas: In 1981 the Reagan Administration stated that it was "explicitly opposed" to the creation of a national ID card.

And Whereas: The Clinton administration advocated a “Health Security Card” in 1993 and assured the public that the card, issued to every American, would have “full protection for privacy and confidentiality.”

And Whereas: In 1999 Congress repealed a controversial provision in the Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act of 1996 which gave authorization to include Social Security Numbers on driver's licenses.

And Whereas: In response to the tragic events of Sept. 11, 2001, there has been renewed interest in the creation of national ID cards. Soon after the attacks, Larry Ellison, head of California-based software company Oracle Corporation, called for the development of a national identification system and offered to donate the technology to make this possible. He proposed ID cards with embedded digitized thumbprints and photographs of all legal residents in the U.S. There was much public debate about the issue, and Congressional hearings were held. Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich testified that he "would not institute a national ID card because you do get into civil liberties issues."

And Whereas: When the UNITED STATES Congress created the Department of Homeland Security, they made it clear, in the enabling legislation, that the agency could not create a national ID system.

And Whereas: In September 2004, then-DHS Secretary Tom Ridge reiterated, "[t]he legislation that created the Department of Homeland Security was very specific on the question of a national ID card. They said there will be no national ID card."

And Whereas: On May 11, 2005 the UNITED STATES Congress passed the Real ID Act, H.R. 1268. The legislation mandates federal identification standards and requires states Department of Motor Vehicles (DMVs)to produce them. The National Identity Register may eventually include name, date of birth, residence, as well as biometric information and personal history of every individual and to collect more and more invasive personal information, and to expand the information sharing capacities of DMVs which have become the targets of identity thieves, to collect sensitive personal information.

Therefore: We the Sovereign People of these united States solemnly declare that, The President of the United States, the Congress of the United States, the Supreme Court of the United States, and the Governors and State Legislatures of the various States, the Judges of both the lower courts and higher courts and all other government officials, elected or appointed, continuing to administer this perfidy, acting for a foreign power, have violated their oath of office and have refused to "uphold, support and defend the Original Constitution of the united States of America against all enemies foreign and domestic", and all other persons who have taken part in denying us our Rights and Liberties guaranteed to us in the Original Constitution of the united States of America, are hereby GUILTY OF TREASON!!
